Serve

1. When serving the ball, neither party is allowed to delay the serve illegally;

2 .Both the server and the receiver must stand diagonally in the serving area to serve and receive the ball, and their feet must not touch the boundary of the serving area; both feet must be in contact with the ground and must not move until the ball is delivered

3. The server’s racket must first hit the pad, while the entire ball must be lower than the server’s waist.

5. After the start of the serve, the server’s racket must be swung forward continuously until the ball is delivered.

8.The server can only serve after the receiver is ready. If the receiver has tried to receive the serve, it is considered ready.

9. Once the serve starts, the serve ends when the ball is touched or landed by the server’s racket.

10. In doubles matches, the position of the partner of the server or receiver is not limited, but the sight of the opponent’s server or receiver must not be blocked.

Singles serve

1. When the server’s score is 0 or an even number, both players shall serve or receive the serve from their respective right serving courts.

2. When the server scores an odd number, both players shall serve or receive the serve from their respective left serving courts.

3. In the case of “rematch”, the server shall stand based on the total points scored in the round.

4. After the ball is delivered, the server and receiver alternately hit each other until “violation” or “dead ball”.

5. If the receiver violates the law or the ball hits the ground in the receiver’s court and the ball is dead, the server will get a point. Subsequently, the server will serve from another service court.

6. If the server violates the law or the ball hits the ground in the server’s court and the ball is dead, the server loses the right to serve. Subsequently, the receiver became the server, and neither side scored.

Doubles serve

1. At the beginning of a game and each time the side who gets the right to serve, the ball shall be served from the right serving court.

2. Only the receiver can receive the serve; if his partner receives the ball or is touched by the ball, the serving side gets a point.

3. After the spontaneous serve is returned, any one of the serving side hits the ball, and then any one of the receiving side hits the ball, and so on until the ball is dead.

4.After the spontaneous serve is hit back, the athlete can hit the ball from any position of the net.

5. If the receiving side violates the law or the ball touches the ground in the receiving side’s court and the ball is dead, the server will score a point and the original server will continue to serve.

6. The serving side violates the law or the ball touches the ground in the serving side’s court and the ball is dead. The original server loses the right to serve and neither side scores.

13. Athletes must not have the wrong order of serving and receiving, or receiving and serving twice in the same game.

14. Any player on the winning side of a game may serve first in the next game, and any player on the losing side may receive the serve first.

Re-serve

A referee pronounced a “re-service” to interrupt the game.

1. In case of unforeseen or unexpected circumstances, the ball shall be re-served.

2. Except for serving, if the ball is hung on the net or stopped on the top of the net after it has passed the net, the serve shall be re-served.

3. When serving, the server and the receiver violate the law at the same time and shall serve again.

4. The server shall serve again when the receiver is not ready to serve.

5. Dead ball

The following situations are dead balls:

Wrong service court

A.The following situations are faults in the service court:

1.1 The order of serving is wrong;

1.2 Serve from the wrong service court;

1.3 Prepare to receive the serve in the wrong service court, and the ball has been delivered.

B. If an error in the service court is discovered after the next serve is hit or hit, the error will not be corrected.

C. If an error in the service court is discovered before the next serve is hit:

3.1. Both sides have mistakes, they should ‘reserve the ball’;

3.2 The wrong side has won the round and should “re-serve”;

3.3 If the wrong party loses this round, the mistake will not be corrected.

D. If the ball is “re-served” due to an error in the service court, the round is invalid, and the error is corrected and the ball is re-served.

E. If the service court error is not corrected, the game will continue without changing the player’s new service court and the new service order.
